A text message might seem like a small thing when you are staring down a $504.75 million contract — the largest in NFL history, signed in June — and a knee that needs to hold up for another decade.

“He just goes,” Reid said. Head coach Andy Reid offered some context around just how consumed Mahomes has been with his recovery.
