Patrick Mahomes had only one goal in his mind related to his daughter as he spent time in recovery ahead of the new season
Patrick Mahomes, the three time Super Bowl Most Valuable Player, has spent the last nine months in recovery as he has tried his best to heal his body and mind after the severe injuries he sustained in Week 15 of the last season at the Week 15’s loss against the Los Angeles Rams. He wanted to walk before his baby daughter, 11-month-old Golden.
In an interview, the Kansas City Chiefs’ popular quarterback weighed in on training as he said, “Being able to go out there, day after day, and have the grind of a camp, that can even be harder than the [regular] season…” With the new season beginning in the next few weeks, it seems Patrick Mahomes had a goal in mind related to his children that helped him recover. Sam McDowell of the Kansas City Star noted, “After he returned to Kansas City later in the week, he shared with some of those closest to him a more immediate goal for his recovery.
“Honestly, the more we practice, the better I feel.” The star player added, “It’s been awesome for me to be able to do that. It’s exciting. I didn’t know if I was going to have to take days off, but my body has responded the right way.
