The former New York Giants’ star player Russell Wilson and popular pop star Ciara have made a generous $3 million donation to the Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital on the Upper East Side through their Why Not You foundation.
In an interview with ABC’s Will Reeve on Good Morning America, the former quarterback Russell Wilson opened up about his dedication as he said, “You know, my dad was unfortunately always in the hospital, he had diabetes. So, for me, I felt like, how I could make a difference somewhere…” In a statement, the former quarterback said, “On behalf of the Why Not You Foundation, we are extremely grateful for the opportunity to support and be part of the expansion of patient and family programs and facilities at Kravis Children’s Hospital…Ciara and I created the Why Not You Foundation, inspired by my father’s ‘Why Not You’ attitude, for kids to follow their dreams, and we believe every child deserves a safe space where they can thrive. My mom was an ER nurse when I was growing up. He added, “My visits to Mount Sinai are among the biggest highlights of my week. I look forward to spending time with the children, seeing the smiles on their faces, and witnessing their strength and resilience. Every visit with them is a blessing and we’re honored to help provide these kids with the resources they deserve. the star quarterback visits the Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital on the Upper East Side every Tuesday While both Russell Wilson and Ciara have remained dedicated to the cause. But that’s not all; as per reports, the NFL icon Russell Wilson has been regular with bringing various types of gifts for the children in the hospital.
