iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max Set for Price Hike and Launch in 2026
Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are projected to see price increases of up to $300 upon their release, according to analysts and industry reports. While Apple has not officially confirmed pricing, rising component costs—particularly for the new 2nm A20 chip and increased memory—are expected to drive these higher prices.
The new models will feature notable hardware enhancements, including a smaller Dynamic Island, a variable-aperture camera, and a new C2 modem, all contributing to longer battery life. The anticipated launch for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, alongside Apple’s first foldable iPhone, is set for September 2026. In contrast, the standard iPhone 18 models are expected to debut in spring 2027.
According to IDC, the starting prices for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max could reach approximately $1,299 and $1,399, respectively, reflecting an increase of up to $200 compared to their predecessors.
iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max: Expected design and display changes
Reports indicate Apple is not expected to make significant changes to the overall design of the iPhone 18 Pro series. However, the devices could feature a slightly thicker chassis, a thicker camera module and a more unified rear finish.
