Shipping begins October 4 in the US and October 5 in Canada, the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, and Australia. Launched in May this year, the laptop mark Google’s most ambitious push into AI-driven personal computing, positioning Googlebook as a premium alternative to traditional Chromebooks.
The tech giant says that GoogleBook is designed to be a laptop with AI at its core by combining the speed of the Chrome browser, the vast library of Google Play apps and a modern design built specifically for the new Gemini Intelligence platform. Google has finally started taking pre-orders for its all new Googlebook laptops.
⁃Price: Starting at $899. every Googlebook includes 12 months of Google AI Pro providing 5TB of cloud storage and our Gemini Advanced tools, plus 3 months of YouTube Premium, Adobe Photoshop, and more. Googlebook OS also comes with regular feature drops and updates for up to 10 years. Initial models come from Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, and Lenovo, running on either Intel Core Ultra or Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processors, with up to 14 hours of battery life. Devices start with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, weigh under 2.85 pounds, and are built with premium materials including aluminium, magnesium, and carbon fiber.
Displays are 2.8K OLED touchscreens, and the laptops include biometric authentication via face or fingerprint unlock, along with a dedicated “G” key for one-touch searches. First unveiled in May, Googlebook is designed to offer a genuine step up from traditional Chromebooks rather than replacing them.
