Travis Kelce disagrees with Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes as Chiefs’ controversial Jaylon Moore penalty sparks debate
The Chiefs tight end shared his thoughts on the November 4 episode of the New Heights podcast with his brother Jason Kelce.
This is definitely a penalty,” Jason said. “Yeah, he flinches,” Travis said. His reaction was different from what Reid had said after the game. “I didn’t see it,” Reid said after the loss. “I have not seen [a replay], but [Moore’s movements] didn’t catch me; it didn’t surprise me or anything like that, so it couldn’t have been big, but it was called,” Mahomes said. “At the end of the day, we still had another play,” Travis said.
Travis Kelce has offered a different view from Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid on the controversial false start that cost the team a possible winning touchdown against the Denver Broncos. “A lot of people are saying this isn’t a penalty. I want to go on record. “I saw him move his head, but I didn’t see [a false start]. He added that small movements are not always penalized during crucial moments of a game. “I’ll take my guy Pat Mahomes on the six-yard line with the game on the line; I’ll take that any day of the week. So we gotta execute at the end even more. We can’t let the penalty absolutely deflate us and not let us execute at the end of the game.”
Kelce agreed that right tackle Jaylon Moore moved before the snap While Reid questioned the referee’s decision.
